WindFire Technology Changes Name to Alero Technology

San Diego, CA – September 1, 2005 -- WindFire Technology, the global leader in Enterprise Information Management solutions, today announced that has changed the company name to Alero Technology as a result of the company restructuring.

"We have taken some difficult but necessary steps to adjust and prepare the company for the years to come," said Maurice Correa, president of WindFire Technology and now president of Alero Technology. "Under the previous structure and ownership, the company's growth and future were hindered. The new company will retain its management team and employees. Our goal in the short term is to create new relationships to help us deliver products and services to our current customers and to take the product to a new level. We have the products and people to succeed in our core mission, which is to deliver state-of-art and easy-to-use enterprise solutions for the management of information with world-class service and quality."

The company expects to maintain and support its current line of products, "Xtorm", and deliver a new generation line of products based on the Xtorm technology but with highly updated architecture and features by the end of the year. "The new line of products will be the next generation Xtorm," said Dan Hunsinger, CTO of WindFire Technology and now CTO of Alero Technology. "This product will start where Xtorm stopped, will be 100% compatible with Xtorm products, and will take the concept of virtualization, scalability, and reliability to a new level in the market."

The company is currently reviewing various contractual arrangements and expects to update these arrangements in the next few months. As previously announced, the Company will call its partners individually to discuss these restructuring and other actions.
