WindFire Gains Momentum with ECM Solutions for Banking Industry
Production-class system
deploys in seven major banks
June 1, 2002 - San Diego, CA—WindFire
Technology announced that their Xtorm™ enterprise
content management (ECM) applications have been selected for
deployment in seven major Korean banks. Components of the
suite were sold and deployed by the Alliance Systems,
WindFire's Asian partner, in cooperation with major system
integrators including EDS, IBM and Fujitsu.
The new customers include four of the five
largest banks in Korea: ChoHung Bank, KookMin Bank, Housing
and Commercial Bank, and Korea First Bank.
Xtorm ECM applications are specifically designed for
production-level transaction processing environments. Highly
scalable, the applications are capable of processing
millions of documents per day with a high degree of
reliability and fault tolerance.
"WindFire's ECM components and framework
dramatically exceeded our competition's offerings," said
SungGu Cho, CEO of Alliance Systems. "In fact, our banking
clients' key requirements were performance and scalability;
Xtorm won on every account by a sizable measure, and at a
significantly lower cost."
Deploying content management with high-volume
imaging components, these major banks utilize WindFire's
virtual repository framework to ensure high performance
processing, storage and retrieval capabilities.
The Xtorm applications are a suite of fully
integrated and embeddable ECM applications. Built in J2EE,
XML and Unicode, the suite includes support for web
services.
