WindFire Gains Momentum with ECM Solutions for Banking Industry in Japan
Production-class system deploys in seven major banks
December 10, 2004 - San Diego, CA—WindFire
Technology announced that its Xtorm® enterprise
information management (EIM) applications have been selected for
deployment in four major Japanese banks. Components of the
suite were sold and deployed by Alliance Systems, WindFire's Asian partner, in cooperation with major system
integrators and resellers in Japan, including ISID, LG-Hitachi,
and Hitachi.
The new customers include four of the five
largest banks in Japan: UFJ Bank, Michinoku Bank, Shokusan Bank, and
Tokyo Bank.
Xtorm ECM and BPM applications are specifically designed for
production-level transaction processing environments. Highly
scalable, reliable, and secure, the applications are capable of processing
millions of transactions per day to meet the requirements of
large, complex environments like in the case of these banks.
"WindFire's ECM and BPM components and
the framework
dramatically exceeded our competition's offerings," said SungGu Cho, CEO of Alliance Systems. "In fact, our banking
clients' key requirements were performance and scalability;
Xtorm won on every account by a sizable measure, and at a
significantly lower cost."
Deploying business process and content management with high-volume
imaging components, these major banks utilize WindFire's
virtual repository framework to ensure high performance
processing, storage and retrieval capabilities.
WindFire's Xtorm EIM solution
combines enterprise information integration, enterprise
content integration, enterprise content management, and
business process management capabilities. Developed on a J2EE, XML
and Unicode foundation, it is an integrated, modular
solution designed for organizations that are looking for complete, off-the-shelf solutions or
for specific software capabilities that can be embedded into existing business
applications
and supports small-,
medium- and high-volume transaction requirements.
