2) SP#1
Alero 2006
Release 2 SP#1 is an enhancement to the original Alero
2006 R2 product released at the end of 2005. In addition
to all the features provided in the original release, this
service patch delivers:
Feature List

Support for Informix Dynamic Server v10. In addition to
supporting MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and Sybase, Alero
now supports Informix Dynamic Server, helping customers
leverage existing investments and/or preferences.

Support for Hitachi Content Archive Platform (HCAP). The Content Archive Platform active
archive solution allows organizations to satisfy regulatory and corporate governance
mandates and provides rapid access to archived data when needed. The solution delivers
automated policy management to ensure content authenticity, retention, and integrity
while also supporting robust discovery capabilities through integrated indexing, search,
and retrieve features.

Enhanced EMC Centera Interface. The Alero
interface to EMC Centera was upgraded to support Centera
toolkit v3.1 and retention.

Enhanced Volume Management. Alero
volume management was enhanced to support more complex
calculations of the actual storage space used by the
underlying device where files are stored.

Enhanced User Connection Management. Alero
software can now be configured so it does not exceed the
maximum number of connections supported by the
underlying operating system.
