Alero 2006 Release 2 Ships

Alero Technology announced this week it is shipping Release 2 of its Alero 2006 enterprise information management package. The new release features an entirely service-oriented architecture (SOA), according to statements by San Diego, Calif.-based Alero. It also provides enhanced support for complex environments, including fault tolerance, workload balancing, clustering, farming, and grid computing.

The product combines collaborative features in Office applications with enterprise functions such as document imaging, document management, report management, content archival and storage management, as well as business process management and content integration.
